My client a highly successful organisation is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team. In this role the Payroll Officer will provide support to the payroll team with a weekly and fortnightly payroll across Australia and New Zealand. The right person will need to be driven and have the passion to perform. Must have experience using Neller Preceda.
Reporting to the Group Payroll Manager your responsibilities will include:
Prepare and process weekly and fortnightly payroll in required deadlines using Neller Preceda
Understanding, interpreting and applying relevant legislation across different states.
Processing new starters, terminations, redundancies, retirements and resignations.
Calculation of payroll tax and superannuation.
Maintain personnel files
Responding to staff queries
Building and maintaining internal and external relationships.
Skills &
Experience:
3-4 years experience in a large organisation with 1,000
employees.
Solid knowledge of Payroll and Tax legislation and Payroll requirements.
Proven ability to provide high quality, accurate and responsive customer service.
Attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure, prioritise and adhere to strict deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work in a flexible and co-operative multi-functional team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to exercise good judgement when problem solving.
Proficient excel skills.
Knowledge of Neller Preceda payroll system is desirable.
The right candidate
The right candidate for this role will have full function wages and salary payroll experience in a large organisation (1000
employees), a strong understanding of awards and legislation, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a high capability of solving complex issues and a proven ability to work to deadlines and multitask.
